Geneva, OH Geneva, OH $100,000 - $130,000 a year $100,000 - $130,000 a year The Quality Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the quality systems related to the production and servicing of AE products manufactured in Geneva, Ohio.
The role serves as the primary interface for various levels within the AE environment to resolve matters related to Quality of product, internal processes and procedures that impact product performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Ongoing review of existing quality management systems to optimize them for current business needs, including generation of business processes to support the quality systems and measures Site provides ISO 17025 certified calibration and manufactures Intrinsically Safe certified products Oversees quality processes including MRB, CAPA, SCAR's Incoming Inspection, First Article Inspection, Supplier management, internal audit Performs, coordinates, and participates in 8D root cause analysis and corrective action determination to provide resolution to customer complaints, non-conforming material disposition and process variation Maintains monthly quality metrics and drive improvement to support company goals Prepares regular performance reports using global support and SAP databases Initiates corrective actions based on these reports and insures timely closure of these actions Presents data to corporate management and customer teams Analyzes field failures - root cause, containment, corrective action Coordinates with other departments failure analysis reports, data analysis, corrective action, root cause analysis, and quality performance reports Work with customers and suppliers on Quality issues WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Geneva, Ohio Typically works in a professional, office environment.
Interacts with lab and manufacturing personnel.
Occasional travel to domestic and international support offices, design centers, manufacturing locations, and customers is expected
Qualifications:
Proven ability to methodically solve multi-functional, technical issues completely in a timely manner Ability to manage cross-functional project teams to reach problem resolution Strong communication skills with an ability to interface with customers, influence design teams, and institutionalize an understanding of quality goals Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple projects at one time Ability to train, coach, assess and mentor others for quality and problem-solving
Experience:
Essential:
Greater than 5 years of experience in quality management and/or manufacturing management Experience successfully managing individual engineering projects or quality improvement projects Knowledge of ISO 9001 and Auditing Experience managing people Desirable:
A minimum of three years of experience managing people Experience with measurement and test equipment and uncertainty budgets in measurement Knowledge of ISO 17025 and Intrinsically Safe requirements EDUCATION:
Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent certification and experience are required COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting.
Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
The range of starting pay for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 per year.
