Restaurant General Manager Overview:
The Restaurant General Manager will plan and direct all restaurant operations.
Maintain high standards of food, service, health and safety, ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources.
We are looking for a General Manager to oversee Managers and staff, financial health, and successful operations of a local Family Restaurant in addition to Sports Bar and Gaming sports book.
General Manager responsibilities include being leader of leaders, formulating overall strategy, driving food safety, managing people and creating legendary experiences.
To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring goals are achieved with regard to people, performance and profitability.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations, supervising operations of the Restaurant/Sports Bar Design strategy and set goals for growth to achieve goals, while working with a people first mindset.
Set and monitor budgets conduct P&L review and take corrective actions Ensure cash management procedures are completed accurately Coach Team Member and Management behaviors with a culture of care and candor.
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally Determine staffing requirements, recruit and maintain staffing level as needed, train and coach staff Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance Oversee high-impact guest experience initiatives, including timely resolution of guest issues and taking proper action on guest feedback.
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations as well as ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
Manage staff scheduling needs Track inventory and make supply orders Maintain high standard for food and beverage quality and cleanliness of facility Oversee preparation of food and beverage items; ensure adherence to set recipes Maintain records of health and safety practices Provide solutions to issues (e.
g.
profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors) Weekly reporting to ownership team Interact with customers to establish positive customer relations Identify and evaluate competitors Remain current with trends in the restaurant industry Requirements:
High School diploma or the equivalent required Minimum age to serve alcoholic beverages (per applicable law) Certified in any state, county or local food handling and alcohol service requirements Four years of restaurant/bar management experience; preferably a high-volume, full-service restaurant Sports Bar experience preferred Demonstrated knowledge and experience with managing inventory and cost control is required An in-depth working knowledge of alcoholic beverages is required; food preparation and presentation is required Hustle! The speed of a leader matters! Experience in restaurant/food service staff management and development is preferred Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is required Demonstrated knowledge of administrative procedures is preferred Must be able to use relevant computer applications (Microsoft word, excel, outlook, powerpoint) Ability to work effectively within a team environment; effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds Excellent communication skills Outstanding organizational and leadership skills Problem-solving aptitude Adaptable while being your own authentic self, creating an environment and culture that encourages others to do so also.
Ability to lift 50 pounds Compensation:
Annual salary of $60,000 to $75,000 depending on experience Paid holidays and vacation time Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vison and life insurance Job Type:
